IntegraRack IR-45 BallastRack™ Solar Module Racking System (Single Frame)

The IR-45 is the fastest and easiest ground mounting system available and allows for modules of any size to be racked at a fixed 45° for optimal year-round energy production. This system can be mounted almost anywhere with its four available mounting options and is strong enough to withstand wind speeds of up to 120 miles per hour. The IR-45 is also the lowest cost per kW option on the market, with only one IR-45 Frame needed per solar module after starting the row, and no pouring of concrete footings required. The minimal and modular design allows for good airflow behind the solar panels to optimize efficiency and avoid energy heat loss common with plastic bin type products.

  • Concrete Lag Bolt Kit – Bolt the IR-45 Frames directly to any concrete surface (concrete pad, footings, or patios)
  • Base Ballasting – Hold IR-45 Frames in place using flat water tanks or concrete curb stops

Additional Components Required For Some Mounting Configurations

1 Inch EMT/Conduit Pipe (required for certain mounting options)

  • 1 inch EMT adds racking strength and helps with positioning for module spacing.
  • 10 foot long Conduit Pipes can be sourced locally (Home Depot, Lowes, Electrical Hardware Store, Etc.).

Mounting

Requirements

  • Only (1) IR-45 Frame is needed per solar module, though one extra will be needed to start each row (Example: 2 rows of 10 modules = 22 IR-45 Frames)
  • Make sure installation site is as flat and level as possible.

IR EarthBallast™ Mounting

  • The IR EarthBallast Kit includes everything needed for mounting up to 10 solar modules.
  • The IR-EarthBallast System requires approximately 700 pounds of soil per module (Roughly 15 inches tall at highest point) with the highest point centered between the tall and short legs of the IR-45. Make sure that dirt mound covers the entire base of each IR-45 Frame.
  • Stakes not required, but are recommended by manufacturer.

IR AnchorSpike™ Mounting

  • The IR AnchorSpike Kit includes everything needed for mounting up to 10 solar modules.
  • Specially designed spikes from IntegraRack are capable of up to 900 pounds of uplift per spike.
  • IR AnchorSpikes must be tested at installation site to ensure minimum of 400 pounds of uplift prior to installation.

IR Concrete Lag Bolt Mounting

  • IR Concrete Lag Bolt Kit provides (2) IR Concrete Lag Bolts for mounting a single IR-45 Frame to pre-cast concrete slabs/footings or any concrete surface.

Base Ballast Mounting

  • The IR-45 System can be held in place using concrete curb stops or water tote tanks.
  • Minimum of 350 pounds per module required.
  • Stakes required by manufacturer for this mounting option.
