The IR-45ASA/IR-45ASAB is available in aircraft grade aluminum or black zinc plated high-strength steel and offers all of the same great features of our other BallastRack Systems with the ability to be set closer to the exact angle needed for maximum performance in your region. This system is designed to rack very large solar modules, even 550 Watt or up to 28 sq. ft.. With 4 innovative mounting options available to choose from, even soft sand or super rocky terrain is no problem at all for lightning-fast install times, and this system is capable of withstanding incredible wind and snow loads (See Datasheets & Engineering for more detailed ratings on this system). Each IR-45ASA Frame can be assembled in less than 2 minutes, and with its unbelievable ability to rack very large solar panels, this system is by far the most cost-effective ground mount racking system on the market today. Unlike some ground mounting systems, the IR-45ASA doesn’t require any concrete footings, post pounded poles, or hand shoveling dirt into small bins. The 15-45° adjustable angle can be seasonally adjusted to offer optimal year-round energy production across most regions around the world, and with its easy to slide adjustable solar module height feature, it offers great ground clearance and a great angle for fast snow shedding.

How many frames do you need?

(NUMBER OF PANELS) + (ROWS OF PANELS) = (FRAMES NEEDED)

EXAMPLE: (30 PANELS) + (3 ROWS OF TEN) = 33 Frames

• IR AnchorSpike™ Kit – Mount IR-45ASA Frames by clamping the base tubes around specially designed anchor spikes that provide easy off the ground leveling
• Concrete Lag Bolt Kit – Bolt the IR-45ASA Frames directly to any concrete surface (concrete pad, footings, or patios)
• Base Ballasting – Hold IR-45ASA Frames in place using flat water tanks or concrete curb stops

Additional Components Required For Some Mounting Configurations

1 Inch EMT/Conduit Pipe (required for certain mounting options)

• 1 inch EMT adds racking strength and helps with positioning for module spacing.
• 10 foot long Conduit Pipes can be sourced locally (Home Depot, Lowes, Electrical Hardware Store, Etc.).
