IntegraRack® Wide Slot IR-F2 Under Mount Flange Clamp Bonding Bracket (Stainless Steel)
This version of the IR-F2 is made from stainless steel for increased strength and corrosion resistance, and features a wider slot for specific solar panels that have a thicker frame or a raised/folded edge on the frame. If the edge of the frame of your solar panels is more than 2.3mm thick you will need this version of the IR-F2 (4 for every panel installed).
The IR-F2 is a robust and simple under mount clamp for attaching and bonding your solar panels to a variety of IntegraRack products. This bracket clamps onto the frame of the solar panel and the sharp piercing barbs dig in and penetrate the anodized aluminum frame to create a bonding path. The IR-F2 is included with all IntegraRack BallastRack™ and MultiBallast™ models (4 in each kit). You do not need to purchase clamps separately unless you need extra for your project.
*This clamp does not include the nuts and bolts seen on the standard IR-F2. You will need to use the bolts that are included with your current IR-F2s. Please contact us if you do not have the required bolts.
Unobtrusive Mounting
Unlike most solar module clamps, the IR-F2 does not require any horizontal cross rails for mounting, making it much faster and easy to use than anything else on the market. With no cross rails behind the panels, your system benefits from increased airflow and reflected light on the back of the panels, which will greatly increase the efficiency of your panels, especially if you are installing bifacial panels.
Strong, Simple Design
Whether using this clamp with the MultiBallast or the BallastRack line of products, mounting panels with the IR-F2 couldn’t be any easier. Each clamp can be secured by simply tightening the serrated nut at the end with a 1/2 inch wrench or screw gun, so each clamp can be installed in less than ten seconds.
Electrical Bonding
The IR-F2 is designed to penetrate the anodized aluminum of the solar panel frame with its sharp piercing barbs and creates a bonding path through the system. This bracket is currently being evaluated by UL, but is not currently UL 2703 Listed. If you need a UL 2703 compliant system, we recommend using IntegraRack® IR-B1 Bonding Jumpers between the panels.
